Broadband Internet
The computer room is equipped with PCs and high speed internet access. From March this year, all rooms will have a telephone line and internet access. No installation or cancellation fee required.

Self-contained Kitchen

Self catering fully equipped kitchens with gas and electric utilities and with room to move.Our large kitchen is the perfect environment to meet and greet people from all over the world. Share the experience of preparing a full meal, or learn new recipies for the trusty two minute noodles.

Residents will need to bring their own cooking and dining utensils, or these can be hired on site for approx. $100 (refundable on return without damage).

BBQ Area
Situated in a parkland setting with many locations for quiet relaxation.Sited immediately outside the main kitchen the BBQ area receives the afternoon sun, and is a delightful location to waste away the evening. Group together for a BBQ experience.

Parkland Setting
Our established trees, flower garden and lawns provide many locations for the quiet lounge or to view many of Auckland’s extinct volcano’s

Limited Secure Parking
Rocklands Hostel has 36 secure, gated carparks which we hire out at $28.00 per week plus $100 bond which is totally refundable on return of your swipecard and carpark left clear. All other parking is off-site.  Unauthorised vehicles parked on the property will be towed away at the owners expense.

Commerical Washers & Dryers
These machines are coin-operated requiring $3.00 for a wash and $4.00 for a dry. You need to supply your own washing powder. Clotheslines are available.

Public Transport
The local bus stop is a 200metre walk from Rocklands Hostel. It is a two stage trip to Auckland’s Central Business District which will cost approx. $3.40.
